I am very excited to introduce you to Palmetto State E-cademy, a public online high school that fits your student, your family and your life.
At Palmetto State E-cademy, students receive a high-quality, personalized education that prepares them for life beyond high school. We accomplish this by offering a complete learning package which includes standards-based curriculum, an innovative virtual learning environment and an extensive support system involving teachers, learning coach, guidance counselor, student outreach coordinator and staff who are personally committed to helping students realize their greatest potential.
The level of attention that students receive at Palmetto State E-cademy is exceptional:
- Standards-Based, Media-Rich Curriculum - More than 100 online core, world language, elective and AP® courses for grades 9-12 challenge students to excel across subject areas. When students graduate from Palmetto State E-cademy, they receive a State of South Carolina High School diploma.
- Experienced and Qualified Teachers - Our state-certified teachers are passionate about helping students learn and achieve in an online setting, while building valuable independent study habits that last a lifetime.
- Student Outreach Program - Students are assigned subject matter teachers and a dedicated homeroom teacher who facilitate weekly online classroom sessions and provide proactive, one-on-one support and encouragement throughout the school year. Our learning coach facilitates students' success in our virtual school, and our school counselor is always available by phone and email to assist students with their college or career planning.
- 21st Century Skills - Our online learning program prepares students for success in the 21st century. Palmetto State E-cademy students are empowered to set their own priorities and manage their own schedules while our curriculum fosters self-discipline, critical thinking and confidence.
- Active Social Community - As part of the iQ Academy community of schools, our program includes a variety of school- and nationwide clubs and a calendar full of fun, face-to-face social opportunities throughout the state! Students also have access to the iQ Academy iQuad community, a members-only, online social network.
